you def need a necklace but one that just teardrops and the final bead goes half way between your neck and dress. if you can’t find one long enough (usually they are too close to your neck) get a jeweler to add more into the back of the chain so it sits right

Wow, nice dress!You look great!

I agree with you that pearls might clash. I would choose a short necklace that is a little bit sparkly, similar to the one in the link below ( but without the huge pendant) and the matching earrings. I think even though the dress has a lot of movement and rouching it is still quite plain and you don’t need to be too modest with your jewelry

Edit: I wouldn’t choose that specific necklace because i do not like the little bows, but i linked it to give you an impression of what i mean

its just me but I feel that bird cage veils and blushers have a vintage look and your gown is modern. I’d definately take it easy on the feathers and vintage styles. Perhaps just a facinator?

First off, you look gorgeous! I LOVE your dress! If I were you, since it has such a cool neckline, I’d stick with some cool earrings and a thick bracelet!
(I’ve been a little bit obsessed with http://www.recycledbride.com lately, so you might check that out!) :o)

I agree with Taurus_17 , a simple fascinator may better suit you. I think you look AMAZING in this gown!

First off let’s identify what style and era this gown resonates better with… I think it looks like Art Deco.

Examples:

http://www.tigerlillyjewelry.com/sapphire_comb.html

I’d also look into art deco inspired jewelry for the necklace, earrings, and braclets.

I think you’ll look better with snazzy earrings and bracelets. A necklace may clash with the neckline. I think a bare neck with a neckline like this is gorgeous and super sexy.

However if you do desire for a necklace, I think a v neck kind of necklace maybe 18″ that it meets half way from your neck and the neckline of the own. Look for streamlined jewelry so it would be cohesive with the gown itself. Don’t get a fancy one that has a bunch of flowers and super organic shapes… that’s a bit too busy and would clash with the modern simplicity of the gown.

This is an example of the necklace:

All the jewelry I posted are only examples, I don’t expect you to get the exact items like one of the bracelets is over $30K! haha

As for your hair and make up, I like the red lipsick idea, and I think you should go for a super sleek straightened hair that has straight sharp ends. It’d also go very well with this style of dress.

Like any one of these:

or for a fuller/playful kind of hair:

Hope this helps! <3

Your dress looks stunning on you!  I love it!  I think as far as jewelry goes, keep it simple – especially where you think the dress is a little over-the-top for you.  You must have loved it though, because you bought it, and it really does look awesome!  So don’t second guess yourself.  Personally, I would go for a little bling.  Small dangly rhinestone/crystal earrings, bracelet and necklace.  I would make sure the necklace is delicate and not too heavy.  That will give you a little sparkle and highlight your face.

I think you can get away with the right birdcage veil, since those are modern like your dress.  I’d try some on in your dress shop.  Also, see if they have jewelery you can try there.  My seamstress had a bunch and I’ve seen some in David’s and Alfred Angelo as well.

That neckline is beautiful, and I think a necklace would take away from it. Some nice, larger earrings and perhaps a smaller bracelet would be perfect. You look great in that dress, by the way, and there is nothing wrong with your hair!
