Wanting to save some money on our wedding. What are some thoughts about buying a secound hand dress. There is a really nice resale shop near by that has everything from dresses rings, center peices, honeymoon pkg, shoes, you name it they have it. I just don’t know.
Would you buy your dress from a resale wedding shop?
How about center peices and other things for you wedding?

I have no problem with it. I ended up purchasing my dress through OnceWed/WeddingBee classifieds via PayPal and am so happy I did!

If it doesn’t bother you then go for it! In reality you are only wearing this dress for one day – you’ll never wear it to another event. It seems a little ridiculous to spend enormous amounts of money on it. I refused to spend a lot on mine. If you do want one brand new I paid $400 at David’s Bridal and I love it. You could always try something like that too if it’s just a matter of cost!

I bought my dress from a Chicago designer resale shop, and had a great experience. I thought the prices were fair, and I was able to inspect the gown as much as I wanted.
In the end, I made a rash decision about that gown, and I didn’t end up wearing it and the boutique was final sale only (which I knew going into it anyway). BUT, my experience was great.

What do you think the stigma is about buying a second hand dress? Is there one?
