Hey bees, i made a post a few weeks ago asking for help deciding on a dress. in that post i received a tip about a website, netbride.com and decided to check it out. i’m glad i did because it turned out to be a great place to get my dress and save a ton. i listed some details about my experience below but i just realized i forgot to mention that not only did i get free shipping, i also didn’t have to pay sales tax. it’s worth a visit and an email to check on the price of a dress you have your eye on. they carry several of the biggest designers and after you send a request email they typically get back to you very quickly.
they do have brick and mortar store in minnesota i believe, can’t recall the city at the moment. they’ve been online since 1995 and are able to offer such great prices because of the relationships they have built with the designers and the fact that they don’t have the overhead of a brick and mortar store.
i ordered the Allure 8850(the lace one) from netbride.com. the site is amazing and although you have to email or call to get a price on any dress they carry, every time I did the price was always the lowest quote of any other place I contacted. the best part was that since my dress was fairly pricy($1573) they offered me $500 towards a veil, shoes and accessories. so i got a bel aire bridal veil and a pair of briana leigh shoes for free! can’t wait for them to come in.
they also guarantee that you get your gown faster than from any other retailer. when i called to ask a few questions before i placed my order through their online order form, the lady i spoke to recommended that i not pay extra for rush shipping because typically the dresses come in well before the quoted date and didn’t want me to pay extra for no reason. super nice!
one thing i will say is that while i did order online, i did go to a brick and mortar store to try on dresses and get my measurements/size for the designers i was interested in. i realize this is kind of shitty since i didn’t order my dress from them but i fully intended to at the time. it was only after some research that i found out just how much of a mark up there is when you purchase in an actual bridal salon. at least $100, oftentimes several hundred.
check it out if you need to save every cent you can, that’s what i had to do. glad i did some research.
