I am trying VERY VERY hard not to order a Papa John’s pizza for dinner tonight. It would be delivery – it’s freaking negative teens here right now. I am NOT going out. Also not helping that it’s been a busy week and there is no food in the house that isn’t cereal. Ugh.
It’s not that I’m all that concerned about the calories (okay, maybe a tiny bit!), we get cheap Little Cesar’s pizza next door all the time for $5.
Papa John’s is one of my fave pizzas but it makes me feel like a bad person to spend $20 just to get a pizza to my door! Especially since I just bought FIs Valentine’s/Birthday gift and have a lot of “want” expenses coming up lately. It’s not like I can’t pay $20 for a pizza, I just feel guilty for it. Hah!
But…it’s…so…good. And I haven’t had it in sooo long…
Talk me down, Bees! My self control is failing and the impending night of studying ahead of me is not helping.
Anybody else resisting something frivolous or yummy right now?

So funny you posted this! I’m fighting the urge to order the VERY same thing! It’s 32 degrees outside here (I’m a Southern bee so that’s COLD for us haha) and I don’t want to go outside or even really get out of bed to cook.
Good luck resisting!! I love me some Papa John’s!

@pharmy: Don’t do it! Do you have the stuff at home to make a pseudo-pizza? I always have some pizza crusts or pita bread around. It’s the same fix but less caloric damage.

@pharmy: I had Papa John’s on Sunday. Sooooo delicious! Go for it or you’ll go hungry.

@pharmy: I’m not sure if I tell you that you deserve a treat and you should indulge or that you shouldn’t waste money. I wouldn’t want to eat cereal either 😛 I’m leaning towards indulging. Little Cesar’s tastes like cardboard and makes me sick 🙁

This is the voice of the devil on the other shoulder.” Do it! Do it!”
Use the coupon for $6 off on the back of your grocery till receipt. It will help you to rationalize that it’s not that expensive.
Order extra vegetables.

Papa John’s is gross. Yuck that is almost as bad as Dominos…
Please either go to the grocery store with that 20 or have cereal….

@pharmy: DOOO IT. Now I’m thinking about ordering pizza for dinner tonight, too! You’re a terrible influence. 😉
Man, I love the garlic sauce from Papa John’s. Although I feel like it used to be way better and more garlicky, it just tastes like thick butter with garlic hints now.

they have lots of coupons usually. there’s a 25% off one on there

It is currently 31 degrees here and I just ordered Dominos because they are in walking distance. I am about to walk to get pizza in the freezing weather…crazy I know, but I’ve been thinking about pizza all day!!

Mmm I want papa johns now! Unfortunately they’re closing most businesses right now due to icy roads so I’m guessing they won’t deliver. Our police dept said only get on the roads in cases of “extreme emergency.” Wonder if pizza cravings fall into that category?? 🙂

Do itttttttt, you know you want to! Mwahahaha~

There are days I get delivery because I don’t feel like going out, so I vote for do it!
I also keep things in my freezer for those types of days. I love the M&M chicken noodle soup (probably has just as many calories as the pizza, it’s topped with chhese). Maybe you have something sitting in their too that you’ve forgotten about? If so, that could help with reducing the cost.

Go for it 😉
Eat a slice or two and freeze the rest for a raint (frosty?) day 🙂
