This is going to vary widely by region.  In the DC area, most people I looked at seemed to quote around $1200-1500.  We lucked out and found an independent DJ who rocked and was only $850.  My gut says $900 is fairly reasonable, but I don’t know what anything in Detroit costs.  Good luck!

That sounds reasonable.  We’re paying $895 for a popular company in our area.

wow all these prices are so low compared to California. In Sacramento the cheapest was like 1000 for like 3 hrs. The average was like 1300 for 6hrs and it wasn’t a big company. I even got quotes for 2 thousand!

We’re paying $550 for 2 DJs for 6.5 hours with a full club light set-up. Around here I was typically seeing 4-6 hours of play for 1 DJ for around the same price, but those usually didn’t come with all the lights and such. I’d say $500-$1000 is probably typical for the Milwaukee area.
