I haven’t been to any of these resorts but I have been to both Jamaica and DR (just came back) and I loved DR. My SO proposed to me there and I think we’ll be getting married there ourselves (one day)!!! Hope this helped some….

it depends whether youll be going to the courthouse back home and then having  symbolic wedding abroad, or if you want a legal wedding

mexico has a lot of red tape (paperwork, blood tests etc) that i believe the other two countries dont

ive heard great things about now jade though!

have you ever considered puerto rico? because its a commonwealth, your wedding will be legally valid in the us, you wont have to go through a jop ceremony as well. plus, it might be easier for guests to travel to, as you dont need a visa to travel there. just a thought Smile

So I’m definitely biased because I’m getting married at the Now Jade in May (2013)… But I did base that decision on a lot of research (literally, A LOT). Here’s what I factored in….

Mexico apparently does better weddings than Jamaica or other places we were considering (Belize, Turks, a few others). They apparently have more weddings there so it’s more familiar and they’ve got it down to an art… We kept hearing that they do more for less.

Of the Now resorts, the Jade is the one that looked the most modern and hip. I looked at wedding pics from teh Sapphire and htey just weren’t as put together as the Jade. Same for Azul. Have you looked at bestdestinationweddings.com? Look up the resort reviews and see people’s pictures… Good luck!
