I think you felt horrible just because people were disagreeing with you.

Most of the responses were quite respectful yet honest.

eecuadrado:  glad things are going better with your mom! I just wanted to chime in again about the whole “baby will stop eating when full” thing, since your update proved yourself right about that. When my Dear Daughter was really little, she would drink however much I put into the bottle, whether she was hungry or not. And if it ended up being too much, she’d either spit it up or else she’d have horrible stomach cramps and crying and gas and everything in between. It wasn’t until she was pushing 8-9 months old that she learned to turn her head away and push the bottle out of her mouth if she was full! So I think that the whole idea that babies keep eating until they’re full and then stop isn’t always true when bottles are involved. I just wanted to back you up on that one since a lot of people seemed to believe that clearly your son DID need to eat more. Mama knows better than a bunch of strangers on the internet 🙂

Wait, so did your son get sick after eating the 7 oz or not?  Because that’s still unclear.

I completely understand how it feels when Bees are nasty to you. I appreciate kind honesty as well. However, it appears that you confuse polite honesty with being mean. That is not helpful for you at all.

You may also want to look at your own behavior before saying that other people are being harsh….for someone who is so sensitive, you were being pretty snarky and ungrateful to your mom. If you want respect as a mother, try giving that same respect to the woman who raised you and is kind enough to look after your baby. Do unto others my friend.

I wish you the best of luck and congratulations on being a new mother.
