Did anyone else send an invitation to the President and Mrs. Obama? We sent out invites back in March and were disappointed that we never received anything back.
However, yesterday, we actually received two cards in the mail from the White House. I’m sure they’re just the standard cards that they send to everyone (signed with the auto-pen), but I was so excited. I think because they sent two, we’re going to put one in the scrap book and one in a frame.
Did anyone else send an invitation to the President (or anyone else famous) and receive a response?

That’s hilarious! I love it. Don’t think we’ll be sending one as Fiance isn’t a huge Obama fan but I’m glad you at least got something back.

What a fun idea… I never thought about that.
Hey, we live in Chicago. 😉 Maybe they’ll swing by if they’re in town.

That is precious!!! I would have never thought to do that, but I wish I had now. It’s a great souvenir to say the least.

Thats awesome! I was thinking about sending one to Robin Williams and Dane Cook, cause they both rock. I might send one to the president now too! Thanks for the sweet idea!

I got my response a couple of weeks ago. http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/youll-never-guess-what-we-got-in-the-mail-today
At first I thought it was a real sig because of the paper bleed, but after some research, we found that indeed these were auto-penned.
No matter, we’re still framing it!
