I need a little help from all my bees 🙂
We are having a decent size reception (200 people). The distance from the ceremony to the reception is about 30 minutes. I have grown up in the church that I am getting married in and have invited a majority of the members. I know that there will be quite a few elderly people that would love to come to the ceremony but that probably would not want to come to the reception.
We would love for everyone to come to the ceremony and the reception but do not want anyone to feel like they either have to come to both or none at all.
Would it be tacky to put 3 options on the RSVP? (Not in these exact words though)
**Delighted to attend both ceremony and reception
**Delighted to attend ceremony but will not be able to come to the reception
**Regretfully will not be able to attend either.
If it does sound tacky, PLEASE let me know! I just wanted some of the elderly couples to know that we would love for them to be at the ceremony even if they didn’t feel like they would be able to make the drive, in the dark, to the reception.
If the idea isn’t that bad, any suggestions on how we can word this on the response card?
