We got our first 2 responses today (our invites only went out on Thursday)! Checking the mailbox is going to be pretty exciting for the next month(: I was surprised by my first 2 responses: My MOH’s mother (not coming) and my FMIL’s friend (is coming).
Were you suprised by the early responders?

yes i was totally surprised – our first responders were a couple cousins that were invited but honestly didn’t think they would come – never would’ve guessed they would rsvp (and reply yes) before all the other guests that I know are coming and have already booked flights, but have yet to rsvp.

I was suprised too. Technically, my first RSVPs came from my coworkers who handed me their RSVP cards the next day after they received their invites from me 🙂
I also love checking the mailbox everyday to see if we have more responses.

Totally! My first RSVP was my old childhood neighbor!

I still have yet to receive any from our families or bridal partys. I love checking the mail everyday. so far we have had all yes

My first responses came from co-workers, but only because they got their invites on Monday while everyone else got them Friday. My first response from a non-coworker came from FI’s cousin, which kinda surprised me. His parents have had their RSVP for even longer than my co-workers but haven’t mailed it back yet.
It is fun to check the mail now. I get excited to see who responded and what they may have written on the post card (we provided a space and asked for a note or picture.)

I was suprised that my stepfather was the first to respond since he’s out of state.

I wasn’t surprised by our first RSVP’s. It was my aunt and uncle and my brother and sister-in-law both couples are very on top of everything. One thing I loved was reading the little notes on the RSVP cards!

I loved getting the response cards! I had random friends respond first!!! Surprising, because I expected my family to respond first since they already knew they were coming, etc.

I got a response card the other day that said the people were coming but there was no name or return address on it….lol… Still trying to figure it out. The post mark was too smudged to make it out too… who knows!

@Jushackett: Oh no! Hopefully you can figure out who it was once you get the rest of the responses in. We lightly penciled numbers on the backs of our response cards in case something like that happened.

Hers one I got today. LOL

@Tswife4ever: lol! I filled out the line where the names go because I assumed that this would happen to me. Do you know who sent that to you?

- Wedding: May 2011 - Vandiver Inn
I went the invisible ink route on our RSVP cards but so far it’s unnecessary.
Our first responses came in the mail less than a week after we sent the invites out. There was one from friends of Mr. Lox and one from friends of mine. Both yeses. It was a great start! 🙂

I believe that my cousin was my first one. She is so awsome and on the ball, I was assuming that she would have been the first. My aunt on the east cost was in the first few. I was so happy that she was comning! I hardly ever get to see her and she is such a cool person.
