I’d keep looking. I went to college in St. Louis and I feel like there are so many options available to you! I would go for a closed off private room before general seating just because – what if you want to make a speech or say something private to the group?

Are you looking for a place downtown?

I’d keep #3 for a backup but keep looking around. I looked/contacted at probably 10-12 places before I found the one that hit all the marks.

I agree with the pps who suggested you keep looking.  Spending money on a space you’re not crazy about doesn’t sound too great.  And if you have a non-private reception, you’ll have strangers infringing on your wedding with comments, approaching you and/or your guests.  If you love the food, but not the ambiance, could you maybe rent another space and have them cater?
