I have planned on using lots of burlap and have 7 burlap tablecloths being used as overlays on top of ivory tablecloths(they are soft, so it will be fine and not scratchy already tried them out). We are doing 14 guest tables. One the remaining 7 I had planned to do chocolate polyester overlays. The napkins are ivory. That is about it as far as the burlap in the reception area at this point, most of it is in another location for the ceremony. Our reception decor idea was a little more of the elegance, with the ceremony being the rustic I guess more so. Anyway, for the buffett tables I was thinking of floor length chocolate poly cloths and then using a green crinkle and a sand colored crush for our “fluffing layer”. I’m trying to figure out what to do with the cake tables now and also if the burlap is going to stand out like a sore thumb. The lighting will be soft, but I still want it to flow. I know the buffett and cake tables are supposed to be a little more fancy, but I just don’t want it to look out of place. The reception and the ceremony are on the same site, but a good distance from each other. So any thoughts?
ETA: centerpieces are low dark brown wooden boxes with cream and green flowers and tall cylinder vases with curly willow in the center and hydrangeas on the outside edge around the willow. Our colors are ivory, chocolate and green.
