I recently got Retin-A Forte to try. It is actually the .05% strength of Retin-A plus a .1% strength of an antibiotic for acne (Clindamycin). Have any of you used this before? I think it is only available in Mexico/border states, so you may not have heard of it (I think it may be called Ziana in the states) I have used topical gels for acne, as well as tetracycline for acne, but never the 2-in-1. I am in my mid-20’s and have tried pretty much everything except BC and accutane. Let me know if any of you have experience with any kind of Retin-A for acne please! I am one week in and I know things usually get worse before they get better when starting a new acne treatment, so I am just curious. Thanls!

I use Retin-A, prescribed by derm, for my acne (I’m in my 30’s and still have issues with my skin). It works well, but does dry your skin out and causes sun sensitivity…so go easy to start. Bonus, it helps prevent and lessen wrinkles also.

Truth be told, i tried all those things over the years and none worked long term except Accuntane. Once I bit the bullet and just did the course of it, I was maaaaybe a month in and was cursing myself for not doing it sooner. I remember a day where I looked in the mirror and cried because I hadn’t remembered my skin looking so great for a long time.
I did low dose Accuntane therapy so the side effects were dry lips, thats it. But the drawback of the low dose was I had to do anther course a couple of years later. But then that was it. I was all done.
