I bought a dress from DB a few weeks ago and am having buyer’s remorse. Has anyone successfully returned a dress from DB? I doubt they will give me my money back, but will they at least give me store credit (in the form of s gift card maybe?). I don’t have the dress in my possession… it is being ordered and is scheduled to come in by October. I haven’t found another dress that I want, but I think I bought a wedding dress prematurely because I felt pressure to buy something. I want to continue shopping. Please let me know if you have any experience with returning/exchanging at David’s Bridal. Thanks!

My best friend considered and looked into returning her dress. They told her that she could for store credit only. She didn’t go through with it because she liked her dress better than anything else they had.

Is there just any way to cancel the order if its not due in till Oct.

This is comical… I just got an email from DB that said my dress has arrived in their store and is ready for pickup. Its funny that they tell you it will not come in until October, and it comes in a less than three weeks. What a scam… they tell you that so that you feel pressure to get a dress so soon, and of course I caved! I have an appt. to try on dresses at another place on Tuesday, and I really hope I don’t find anyth I like bc then I will REALLY want to return my dress.
I thought about canceling the order (before it came in, which coincidentally was today) but was told by multiple people that they will not refund your money even if you cancel the order before your dress is shipped to them.
I wouldn’t mind getting store credit because there are things that I could buy there, however, my dress was a thousand dollars and I doubt I will come near spending that much. Does anyone know if they will issue me some sort of gift card? Then I could use the money on invitations (which are expensive). In store credit only is not going to go too far…ugh. Thanks for your comments. Anyone that has any experience with David’s Bridal, please comment!

I have carnal knowledge that they will do a store credit/exchange a dress. They will not give you your money back. If you go this route, make sure you can use the credit for anything, not just a different dress, and watch the expiration date carefully. The dress has to have the tags on it and you must have the receipt, which doesn’t appear to be an issue,
most things you order from them come within two weeks. They just want to cover themselves.
