Has anyone done it? I paid for my dress in full and took it home but now everytime I think about how I look on my wedding day, I picture myself in the OTHER dress that I loved and didn’t buy just because it was heavy. I don’t think you can return dresses but i’m not sure..

I’ve yet to meet anyone who sucessfully returned a dress to DB. They are adamently “all sales final”.

I helped my friend return a dress she bought there. That said, I know how strict they are with their return policy because I fought them tooth and nail to get them to take it back, but they did. She was also buying another dress from them, though, and it was more expensive than the one that was being returned (which was actually a bridesmaid’s dress she had planned to wear as her wedding dress). If the other dress you want is from DB and is more expensive, you might have some leverage.

I am curious about this too…..I ordered my dress in a 22 and it was too big in the hips, butt, shoulders, but I needed this size to fit over my chest. They said they can take it in no problem. Now I have started a new diet/exercise program and have been toning a lot and losing weight, and am afaid that this dress may just be so big on me come time for the big day that alterations can’t save it.
I am hoping if that is the case that they will let me exchange it for a dress that is more my size and can be altered off the rack but these stories are making me nervous! Would love any tips you’ve encountered.

I have read about them exchanging a dress – so they let might let you trade up as some have suggested. But otherwise, I don’t think they’ll give you a refund.
