goldenbrown :  My husband got a little zap happy when we were registering. To be honest… we returned a bunch of stuff and used the $$$ for clothes for the honeymoon. Oops.

We’re returning our plates, we regret registering for ones that were so trendy and we didnt even get half of a set.

We thought very carefully about what we wanted to register for.  We returned one item that we somehow ended up with two of, but that was it.

We registered for 8 stemless wine glasses and ended up with 8 thousand. Not sure why everyone decided to get us the same thing. We returned all but 8. And a couple other duplicates we received. We registered at Target so they gave us a Target gift card for the price of all items returned. I’ve just been using it each time I go to Target.

I think returning is pretty common especially with duplicate items.  I would return and buy what you really need 🙂

goldenbrown :  The Amazon should be easy, what DON’T you need on Amazon. You can literally buy anything.  The others…eek. I hope you really need a bread mixer or storage crate. We only registered for what we absolutely need and at places like Macy’s and Amazon. We know neither of our families can be trusted and they’ll all end up getting us the same thing and not have the registry scanned.

We returned some dupes and stuff and resized some of the pots we got, but mostly we kept everything. We in no way have room for everything but put some stuff in storage. It’s for our someday house :). I figured this is what you get for 30 years from now when you’re hosting Thanksgiving. If I didn’t get it all now I might never!

PS we have so many platters! Including one we didn’t register for and another we bought on our honeymoon!  It’s out of control. We’re keeping them all 🙂
