Daisywu:  Thanks for asking all of these gocco questions.  My gocco is supposed to arrive sometime this weekend and you are asking all the same questions I have!  I would like to know the same thing.

Yes, you can clean the masters and use them again with different colors, though it is kind of messy and a pain.  The way I’ve done it is to scrape off all the extra ink and wipe off what I can with a paper towel.  Then, I have a cleaner lotion, I think that it is called Gocco Grrl.  I wipe that on and then clean again with paper towels.  You can google to see what other cleaners people use, there are lots of options that people have tried.  I wouldn’t count on the screens working indefinitely, I think that they’ll eventually wear out or stretch, but they should work several times I think.

I know that you can reuse them, but it is much easier to reuse them with the same color ink and such.  It is such a pain to clean all of the ink off!  I know that if you are just going to use the same color ink, you can just store it in the freezer and pull them out and let thaw when you’re ready to use it again.  I’m speaking from reading a lot of gocco discussions and not from experience because in my experience, I tried taking the ink off and was unsuccessful and I tried storing it in the freezer and had a bad experience with it.  I just think it’s more trouble than it’s worth, so I just try to maximize the space on each screen and used the heck out of it in one go instead of try to recycle them.

Furelysse – do you mean put the screen in the freezer after you use it or just the ink?

I mean the screen, never the ink!
