Is it possible?
While I was at my grandma’s yesterday, we found my mom’s wedding veil. It was still in great shape. It is ivory in color, just like my dress. The only problem with it, imo, is that is a hat type of veil. According to Fiance, it looks very 70s, early 80s. Is there any way that I could have the hat removed from the veil and replace with just a clip or something? If so, who would/could do this kind of work?

I’m sure it’s possible… Maybe take it to an alterations shop and see if they can do it.

you could do it its easy peasy. make sure its ok with your mom first if you cut her veil up though.
cut the tulle off as close to the hat as possible. fold it in hald and even out the edges, gather the top edge (or the most un even one) and fold it over a comb. stitch through the veil and around the clip. glu some ribbon or flowers to the top to cover the stitches and your done! i put mine on a barrette because i liked the butterfly. if i remember later i will post a pic or you can pm me.
