I am not telling you to shop here or not shop here. I am only telling you my experience and take from it what you will.
I found a polks dotted jacket in this shop that would work with my reception dress.
The jacket arrived timely however, it was smaller than what was indicated on her sizing chart.
The jacket ripped less than 5 minutes after opening the package…just basic handling, taking it out of the package etc.
Contacted seller but she refused to refund.
This is not a place I will shop at again and next time I will pay more attention to the negative reviews.
Again, not saying shop there or dont. This is just my experience.

Just as an update-
I just recieved an email stating she would have ‘considered’ giving me a refund if I hadnt left a negative review of the product which I did do after she ignored my attempts at contacting her.
Ive never had an issue like this before. Any advice?

If you are in the UK an item has to be of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose or a seller can be in breach of the Sale of Goods Act and you are entitled to a refund regardless. In practice, this means that a jacket has to be capable of being worn. Not so flimsily made that you can’t unpack it without it falling to pieces.
I’m aware that there’s not a US-wide version of this legislation but I can’t believe that any seller has the right to refuse to give a refund for unsatisfactory goods that aren’t fit for purpose. Holding you to ransom because of a bad review isn’t any way to do business either! Have you consulted the BBB website to see if there’s any relevant advice?

What a load of crap. I can’t even find her on etsy?? StarsBridal?

I’m sorry. Its Star Bridal.
I am not sure if BBB would do anything for an etsy seller but I did file a dispute through paypal.
Its just frustrating because its my first bad experience on etsy ever.

“StarsBridal” is the offending shop that you left your review on for the jacket, and I did see her accusitory response, (seriously uncalled for).
NOT “StarBridal”. “StarBridal doesn’t even sell jackets. I’ve ordered from StarBridal and had a really great experience.
The most effective course of action is to contact “etsy”. If you go back to the “StarsBridal” Etsy shop, at the bottom of the left column it will say “Report this shop to Etsy”. Tell them what happened, and they will provide the appropriate reprimand.
I would hate to see a really nice shop get a bum rap over name confusion.

I have also ordered from Star Bridal and had a TERRIBLE experience. Their workmanship is awful and their customer service (if you can call it that) is worse than their cheaply made dresses.
