I am not sure why you wouldnt be able to wear your wedding jewelry as long as it is appropriate, as in super fancy to a hoe-down = not appropriate.

No one but you will really remember if its your wedding jewelry so its not like you are going to “outshine” anyone.

I had heirloom earrings, which myself and my mom have certainly wore again, and a costume bracelet, which I have worn to work many times.

@ellabee:  I don’t see why you couldn’t wear it again as long as it’s not too fancy for the occasion.  I agree with ThreeMeers … Most people won’t remember the jewelry you wore at your wedding.  I honestly couldn’t tell you what one of my best friends wore in her wedding a few years ago and I was a bridesmaid so I was with her all day.  If you love the jewelry, wear it again!  I’m sure I’ll wear the earrings I choose (I still haven’t decided on a pair) again in the future.

Umm… I’m not buying new jewelry for my wedding. I’ll either wear something I already own, or borrow something from my mom/sister. So, I don’t see why it couldn’t be worn again ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m sure it’s totally fine. No one will remember.

I think it’s totally okay, but for some over the top wedding jewelry, it wouldn’t be very often imo.

I mean, if you have a HUGE blingy statement necklace.. when exactly would you wear that? It wouldn’t exactly go with casual wear, and I doubt anyone here has a big fancy ball to go to every weekend! That being said, I wouldn’t wear something huge and blingy to another persons wedding either.. as it may look like you’re trying to out-do the bride.

That being said, if the necklace is somewhat simple, I could totally see someone wearing theirs again.

My dress is VERY over the top, so I just wanted a little bling but not all BAM! statement.

This is my necklace set :
