Rhinoplasty Experiences

So I haven’t had a rhinoplasty, but I have had plastic surgery (breast lift w/o augmentation).

Honestly, my mother recommended my surgeon. My mom got a half face lift done in her 50s (she’s almost 70 now) with a different surgeon, but she had heard of mine through him, if that makes sense. A lot of surgeons perform best with certain surgeries, so while Dr. C is great at faces, my doc, Dr. K, is excellent with boobs.

I recommend checking online as to what is most-obviously done on their site, looking in general for faces and particularly for noses. Then go from there. Reviews on doctors are often misleading in that they often worry less about skill and more about bedside manner.

Another recommendation is to go to the consultation. Sometimes they’re free, usually they cost around $50. Find one you’d like to talk to and go check it out, see what they say, see if they seem knowledgeable and skillful, and if not, go try someone else.

Good luck! Wishing you all the best in the doc hunt and in your future recovery!

lola5 :  do you know anyone who has had one? I’d start with personal recommendations if possible.

Funny story – my husband didn’t know that two of his cousins both had nose jobs. They were all talking about who looks like who (one is dark-haired, the other super fair) and he made a comment like “well of course you look like sisters, you have the exact same nose!” hahaha. Nope – they had the exact same surgeon it turns out.
