Can you post a pic of your old ring with the rhodium worn off? I am curious to see what it looks like compared to the “white” metal.

I’d like to see a picture too.

My mom has a white gold RHR that she got in 1971 and it’s never yellowed one bit. But then my husband has a white gold ring that was his grandfather’s, and it has a very faint “warm” tone to it. I kind of like it too.

I’m with the OP on this one. Well, I wouldn’t say I like one over the other. The white colour is beautiful. But when it starts to wear off it doesn’t look so nice. I didn’t get any sort of cleaning plan with my ring so it would cost me $50 every time to get it re done (and I looked everywhere!) but even so, the in between stage doesn’t look pretty.

When I took my engagement and wedding rings in to get soldered the jeweller said there wouldn’t be any rhodium plating left after he finished (he doesn’t do the plating either). My wedding rings was still totally white but my engagement ring had bit and pieces of plating left. After he was done they looked so pretty and I had no more desire to get them replated!

Here’s a pic of mine:

And for comparison, here’s when I was picking out the band, maybe 10 months after I got my engagement ring.
