Yesterday my mom gave me my “something old” (although I won’t be following tradition and have chosen to ignore the “something blue” aspect) and it’s a gold, amethyst, and diamond ring that she wore a lot when I was younger. I always loved it. Without realizing it, I made my wedding colours purple, gold, white, and black. My mom noticed that the wedding colours matched her old ring, and she gave it to me! 🙂 I’m going to wear it at the wedding as a RHR, and will likely keep it on pretty often.

Here’s my RHR… it’s a vingage piece circa 1980-something with a blue topaz and a lightweight band that feels delicate to me.

KhaleesiStormborn:  So beautiful! And I love the family history that goes with it. What a special piece to wear for your wedding.

I’m back to post the new RHR my Darling Husband gave me for Christmas. It was a total and complete surprise, but a good one! It’s a blue topaz (swiss blue?) set in 14K white gold.
