It was soooooo much worse the second time around, even though I carried Henri much lower than Addie.  For me, it came in spurts, maybe timed around Henri’s growth spurt?  I’d notice it getting more painful for a week or so, and then it would get better for a couple weeks.

Anyway, you can do back exercises to strengthen the muscles, which helps; just getting up to stretch periodically throughout the day helped me, too.  I used a heating pad at night and took Tylenol when it got really bad.  And I made my husband rub my back and sides every night.  🙂  Oh, and make sure you’re not slouching while sitting!

My eldest used to lay under my ribs. I used to gently move him by rubbing and lightly pushing. He would move and come back later. But it gave me relief for that period of time
