Quick question for you all:
We’re DIYing all of the bouquets and I would like to wrap the stems with pretty ribbon (probably securing with pearl pins). What width of ribbon should I get? Does it matter (any width will wrap around, it’ll just take more turns with narrower ribbon)?

We DIY’d our bouquets (well, my friend actually did it). I think it’s best to use a thicker ribbon, not the thin kind. If you have any material from your dress alterations, that would be good too.

i think you’ll want something wider… probably 1-1.5" would be good. if it’s too wide, like 3" or more, i think it’d be too awkward, and wouldn’t lie smooth… and anything under an inch and you’re going to be wrapping forever. 🙂

I’m also going DIY for our flowers. I’m using 1" grossgrain ribbon to wrap and then doing those fancy knot things with thinner ribbon (1/8").

Thanks! I found some 2" ribbon so I’ll try that I think.
lavndrmlkshake, what do you mean "fancy knot things"? I need to do some more DIY research…
