Ok, I finally have my dress and I cannot decide which look I like the best.
Please vote for which look you like the best, also comment on if I should wear one of the sashes for reception but not ceremony, vice versa and etc.
also any comments welcome, thank you 🙂
ribbon… (its silver as the ribbon on my headband is silver and we have silver on the guys/bridesmaids etc)
crystal sash on silver ribbon….
and no sash at all, sorry its a side pic thats all I have…

@beautifulmama28: I voted for the crystal sash, IMO it should go at the smallest part of your waist to accentuate that area. I think the silver ribbon could work too but the one in the pictures is too thin, I would go with something a bit wider.

I voted for no sash. Because you have a dropped waist bodice, wearing a sash at your natural waist cuts your silhouette in too many chunks, if that makes sense. Wearing the sash down at the seam of your drop waist looks…off, somehow. I think you should just let the dress speak for itself.

+1 I think you should go with no sash.

lol ah yes…I text her last tuesday and told her I wanted to take the dress friday, no more fittings. She got it done, thank goodness I would have had a big fat bridal meltdown lol. Still charged me full price though, but I wasn’t going to balk at it, I just wanted my dress period.
yes, I agree! the initial pic I had with it on I had it a bit lower and it looked way off…
I have had several people tell me just this, the lace is so amazing, plus it already has sparkle, I think thats why I was leaning towards the ribbon simply because I wanted to pull that silver from my headband in somewhere. Now I’m not so sure….
ok so far no sash and the crystal one are neck and neck…

No sash is best.. that ribbon looks too flimsy IMO.

I voted none of the above & crystal sash, because I think if you really want to wear a sash you should go with the crystal one up at the smallest part of your waist, it does look really good. I just think it looks a little better with no sash at all, the dress is gorgeous and you look fab so if you’re comfortable losing the sash, I would!

thank you for your honest opinion, thats what I’m looking for 😉
initially I had figured I would go no sash during pics/ceremony and just put the crystal one on during reception, so I still might do that, thank you though for your advice 🙂

I would go with no sash! You’re already wearing gloves in a hair ribbon, and I think your look would benefit from the “take off the last thing you put on before leaving the house” rule of accessorizing.
If you do go with a sash, I don’t like either of the ribbon options, that ribbon is just too thin and the tails are too long. But I stand by my original opinion that your dress doesn’t need it!

I voted no sash. It’s a beautiful dress without needing to add extras.

I really don’t think this dress needs a sash at all. With the dropped waist and a sash, you are cut horizontally twice making you look shorter. I think that without a sash, you look taller and thinner.
