My FH and I are having a wedding in a field next to a lake, and we’re having buntings, paper lanterns and fairy lights around the field. We’re having a gazebo over our dancefloor area, and we’re going to be hanging ribbon onto the ceiling of it. You can’t get much uglier than a gazebo, so we have no choice but to decorate it lol It really is a matter of preference, and if you like the idea then go with it. It’s your day, so don’t worry x

I’ve had quite a few brides hang ribbons down over dance floors.  Depending on your venue it can look pretty awesome 🙂  One word of caution is to make sure they don’t hang too low so the taller people aren’t bumping into them.

If you do ribbons or something hanging down through most of the room, skip over the dance floor.

We’re likely hanging paper lanterns but I’ll be leaving out the area around the dance floor.  You never know what’ll happen over there as the night goes on 🙂
