I don’t know if it is a brand name or specific type, but my friends who are Hawaiian RAVE about the Tiger rice cooker. I’m not sure where you can get it or anything though. I know it definitely keeps the rice warm without drying it; they would make a big pot and eat it with every meal for a couple days.

We like our Oster quite a bit.  It was cheap, and we had expected to replace it in a year, but that sucker has lasted almost 4 years (and counting.)  The only time it dries out is if I cook a really small portion.  As long as I’m cooking for 2 or more servings, it’s perfect.  I think we got ours at Target.  Good luck!

I like the Zojirushi brand.

Zojirushi! It’s the best rice cooker available IMO and I’ve gone through quite a few. I have this model and have never made a bad pot of rice since. Also warming mode doesn’t dry out the rice at all.

There’s also a 10 cup model but the smaller one is just enough for me and my Fiance.
