    I started the other thread that I think you are referring to. I am aware of the bias toward thinking we are all middle-class. Knew I would not get anything more than subjective perception of how bees grew up. In light of this middle class bias, it is interesting that my family was poor a lot of the time while I was growing up, but I was oblivious to that, only realizing it later.

    The article you linked to points out that there is more to economic status than income. For those who are great at saving and investing, a smaller income will stretch pretty far. Many folks with great incomes bury themselves in debt.
