freshflowers:  I just discovered some Elizabeth Arden products that I love. Their blush is like $26 yet it is one of the first blushes that doesn’t make me look burnt. I also love EA perfumes – Green Tea and Untold. Did you know that EA makes the Britney Spears perfumes (that I also LOVE)?

As for my splurges, I love the NAKED 2 palette. I have NAKED 3, but find NAKED 2 way more fun.

I also love the Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation. Not only does it provide amazing coverage and glow, but it doesn’t look cakey/dried out.

Here is a review for the foundation:

Cle de Peau stick concealer. It’s $78, but I’ve been using the same tube for three years and have just run out.

I will always splurge for a great foundation! The problem is that I am constantly on the hunt for something better than the last.

I also love St Tropez gradual tanner. At about ~$30 a bottle, it’s not the cheapest. And I can easily go through two bottles a month. However, I loathe tanning in beds or even baking in the sun. So, it’s worth it to me.

lip stick snob here! i loooove NARS lip sticks, my go-to for a night out is jungle red in their semi-matte. i also use their blush at the moment, but may be switching, i’m not sure. i refuse to use drug store blush because i don’t think it goes on evenly.

Any Urban Decay eye shadow palette is totally worth the money. I also recently switched from Make Up Forever HD foundation to Dolce and Gabbana’s creamy foundation and the difference is ridiculous! It’s so much smoother and gives you a flawless finish.

I also think a good quality primer and good quality brushes/beauty blender does wonders for applying makeup.

As for perfumes, I think YSL Parisienne and Tom Ford are totally worth it. One spray is all you need and it doesn’t fade fast like most perfumes do.

The urban decay eyeshadow primer is totally worth it IMO. I love their shadows too, but I recently bought a 4 color palette from L’oreal which is pretty darn close to the colors I use from the Naked palette…

I don’t know if these are ridiculously expensive but some pricey things I love are:

Laura Mercier foundation $50

hourglass foundation $55

nars blushes $30

YSL lipsticks $34

good mascara…usually about $25-35

ive never tried anything super expensive. I’ve been tempted with La Mer stuff but I just can’t bring myself to spend that much!!

Huge makeup junkie here!  These are holy grail products for me:

Bobbi Brown’s Corrector (amazing for dark circles)

Yves Saint Laurant Touche Eclat (great highlighter)

Nars Eyeshadow Primer (does.not.budge)

Stila Liquid Eyeliner

Anastasia Brow Products (I mostly use the brow wiz and brow gel)

ETA: Bite lipsticks too!

Too Faced primer and CoverFX foundation. I also recently got the It Cosmetics Eyelift in a Tube and I think it works really well. I have terrible dark circles under my eye (combo of sleep problems and having super fair skin), and it’s done the best job of masking them so far.

Some of the LUSH lip colors are awesome, but they’re $18 a piece.

Urban Decay lipstick is $22 each, but they’re amazing and long-lasting enough that I splurge on them anyhow.

Besides my eyeliner (Rimmel Exaggerate) and some lipsticks, everything I wear make-up wise is a splurge, lol.

I use Smashbox primer, BB/CC cream, and foundation. A ton of Bare Minerals stuff, as that used to be my primary make-up brand (mineral veil, concealer, bronzers, eyeshadows, lip, blush, macara, etc). I also use blush from Benefit on regular rotation, and am currently switching between Buxom, Mary Kay, and CK One for mascara. I love my Stila eyeshadow in Kitten (perfect neutral color), and accent that in the corner of my eyes with another eye color from Stila.

The Naked 2 palette from Urban Decay is my go-to eye look most days (especially weekends), along with using the eyeshadow primer (in Sin). That primer is the best!

Ah, I could go on and on! The most I have ever spent on lip stuff was $30+ for the YSL Sheer Candy in a couple colors. To me, it’s quality over quantity. I know that I can find dupes at the drugstore, but it’s never the exact same.

freshflowers:  after having tried lots of high end makeup, I mostly use drugstore brands – many are pretty great (Rimmel is one of my faves!) I do splurge on Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner. I think it’s around $30 for a tiny pot plus extra for the eyeliner brush. But on me, that stuff stays on until I wash it off at night – no raccoon eyes even when it’s hot out and I’ve had a couple of drinks!

I also buy Essie and OPI nail polish only. THe other ones don’t last nearly as long.
