Right here, right now (no cheating!)
Are you caught up on your housework? What are you behind in?
Here’s my to do list:
– haven’t washed sheets in a few months (I know, bad!)
– need to wash our underwear before my husband goes commando
– need to vacuum the whole apartment
– scrub bathtub
– meal plan for next week
I figure maybe us slackers can motivate each other!
*note* I work as a property manager so I always get inspired to clean after the digusting move outs at the end of the month. haha

Not even close. I need to:
Do laundry (about 10 loads worth, it’s amazing that I have any clean clothes left.)
Clean the bathroom
Clean the bedroom
Go grocery shopping
I’ve been working from 7am to 1am 5 days a week, plus one other 8 hour day, and on my one day off I have no energy whatsoever to do anything. Wahh. Excuse me while I wallow in self pity…

I am completely caught up right now but this doesn’t happen often!! I was home sick yesterday and feeling better in the afternoon so I ended up getting A LOT done!
What we used to get behind on constantly was laundry. We’d end up going like 2 weeks and having a whole day of laundry. Recently we started having a set day of the week to get the laundry done. For us it’s Thursday. Darling Husband gets home before me so he starts the laundry and he does the actual putting them in/changing the loads thing. Then he puts them in laundry baskets and I put away. A week’s worth of laundry for us isn’t a whole lot so it doesn’t get really overwhelming.

Yup, Im a little anal though. We do laundry every other day or so, and on the weekends I do an extra load with sheets and towels.
On Sunday I take an hour or 2 and clean from top to bottom-dust,vaccum,wash floors, scrup down kitchen & bathroom, etc. I sometimes have to wake up insanely early so I dont spend the whole day cleaning, but we just dont have time during the week to do it.
The onyl thing we arent caught up on is yardwork, need to cut the grass still.

I need to do basically everything… Laundry, dishes, vacuuming I have no clue what we are going to have for dinner. I haven’t gotten anything done because I have been on throw up control all day so far 🙁

We usually get pretty caught up on Sundays, but starting on Mondays I already feel behind again! There just aren’t enough hours in the day. We usually get behind on laundry and dishes, which we’ve managed to stay on top of this week. I’m ready to move from an apartment to a house, though–we just don’t physically have enough space for all of our stuff and it’s a constant battle to try to keep it all in order!

Nope. Well, granted we’re staying with someone else until we can move into our apartment next month, but I do have a pile of laundry that needs to be done. Too bad I don’t care right now. Hahaha. I have to work tonight again after working last night. I’m a bum.

I’m actually totally caught up! Usually there’s a few small things to do, like dishes that are done daily, but I’m totally caught up. I’m a huge procrastinator but I’m also a bit of a neat freak. I can only stand the laundry on the floor for a very short time. This past weekend though my Fiance and I cleaned our entire apartment top to bottom.
I think I listed it in a different thread, but I get myself motivated by opening windows (or at least blinds when it’s cold), pouring myself a glass of wine and putting in a load of laundry. I then turn on the TVs to something I enjoy but don’t need to “watch watch.” I then go room by room and clean things. Having the TVs on the same channel in different rooms helps me feel like I’m not missing anything ands gives me something to listen to. Taking it room by room helps it feel less overwhelming. Opening the windows makes the space feel more airy and the wine helps it not feel like as much of a chore.
When I’m done organizing, dusting and scrubbing, I press the button on my Roomba and relax while it vaccuums for me. 😉

Yes, because our maid came Friday.
I might have a couple of dishes in the sink, now that I think about it, though.

Umm I’m SO not caught up, but my excuse is that I’ve been sick with a bronchial infection for 8 days now and ordered by my doctor to work from home and just rest until Thursday. I’m freaking out though because DH’s childhood friend and his 7.5 month pregnant wife are coming to stay with us on Friday but it’s a surprise for DH!
Here’s what I have to do …
-vacuum all rooms
-clean master bath (just sink and toilet thank goodness)
-lotssss of laundry including sheets and towels
-pick up living and dining room
-clean the bedroom as that’s where they’re staying
-clean the guestroom as that’s where Darling Husband and I will be sleeping for the weekend
-clean off the deck
Umm yeah I’m not panicking or anything!

@pinky44: I’ve been trying to convince Fiance we need a maid. He just rolls his eyes at me. /jealous

I’m very behind but my excuse is that I’m still ill (post-viral fatigue syndrome) and easing back into work.
Hopefully having a week off work will help next week!

I need to vacuum our whole apartment, clean the bathrooms, and do a couple of loads of laundry. I think our kitchen is pretty clean, though, and my husband’s laundry is mostly caught up. I also recently washed all of our sheets and towels, so that helps…

I have a question — when is anyone every totally caught up? I mean…once I clean the bathrooms, it’s only a few days/a week till they technically need to be cleaned again. So how does anyone stay caught up?
hahahahah no. I was just thinking the other day that there are parts of our apartments (the upper cabinets which really need a wipedown but which we can’t even reach, the back of the closet, etc) that will not get cleaned until after we’ve moved out. Though I consider this all a responsibility that should be shared 50/50 so it’s only half my problem if the place is a wreck.
It’s also a super wreck now, because we just got back from our honeymoon. We managed to clear the boxes and you can mostly walk across the floor, but there’s a lot to catch up on.
