I wonder if anyone has a pink moissy they could show you!  I know they exist.

Spinel is a gemstone that, like diamonds, is singly refractive (what causes the sparkle/fire). It comes in a RANGE of colors, holy buckets, and the preference seems to be toward the vivid colors (they are beautiful) so you may have to do some legwork or find a good jeweler to work with to find a pale pink you are hoping for. For example, I am kind of obsessed with grey spinels (which apparently are common, but considered less desireable) so finding a one with a great cut was tricky, but possible.

This guy is a really good cutter and may work with you in sourcing a stone: http://www.pinterest.com/jeffdaviesgems/spinel/
