Ok so I picked up these cheapy cz gold plated bands on Dreamland Jewelry which I found through a facebook ad. They are better than I expected for $5 each. But I was hoping to try out some band styles before shopping for real gold ones. So I tried them both ways with the band pointing out following the shape of my marquise center stone and some with them pointing in more following the shape of the ring. I think if I were to go with either option I would want to have bands custom made.
So what do you think?

I think they look better tucked in (points inward), but it’s nice that it would be versatile.

True! I had originally thought about having them soldered with my ring but so far they really haven’t moved so I like that if I kept them seperate I could wear them depending on my mood. What I like about them in is I feel like it gives the ring a bit of a romantic feel and follows the curve of the ring that I like. With them pointing out I like the additional drama and finger coverage.

Wow! Those look amazing with your ring! Personally, I like them with the points out, but it looks nice both ways!

Sorry, I’m no help LOL. I can’t decide! I think it looks amazing both ways!! I think I’m going towards them pointing out.

I love both options– I can’t bring myself to vote on only one!

I perfer them with the points in, but my mom has a marquise and her setting has the points out, similar to your first picture. It definitely does look nice both ways.

I voted chevron pointing out, as I think it’s a little more flattering on the finger. To be honest though I like both, and it’s great that you would have the option to change it to suit your mood!

I was really surprised that it worked with pointing in, and they do both look nice. I think I like pointing out better, because it frames the marquise whereas the other way seems to obscure the shape a little. But I love marquises so I’m probably biased by wanting to see it super clearly.

I love it with it pointing out. Something about it just adds so much emphasis on your center stone to me.
