@NLove:  For the flower girl, I dont think it’s too old. I teach second grade, and all the girls asked if they could be my flower girl haha. I think as long as they are into it, they aren’t too old. For the ring bearer, maybe. It depends, I think, if he thinks its baby-ish, or if he thinks hes more like a groomsman in being a part of your wedding. And I dont think that has anything to do with what you say to him (although wording it may help, perhaps let him know if he can get ready with the boys for part of the morning?) but more of his personality.

My ring bearer (my son) is 7 and my flower girl is 10. They both are super excited to be in the wedding and no one has said they were too old. =)

3-10 is the appropriate age range. None of yours are too old.

My ring bearer is my son and he is 11. To some that may be too old but, I wanted him to be the ring bearer because I feel like him handing over the rings is like him blessing the wedding. He and I are very close and Fiance didn’t come in to the picture until he was 5. I didn’t want him to walk me down the aisle because I didn’t want to take that away from my dad and I thought him being an usher or Jr. groomsman was too ordinary. My flower girl will be the same age so it won’t stand out so much that they are older since they are the same age/size.

I don’t really get the whole grade thing (live in New Zealand, we don’t have grades) so not sure what ages you’re talking about but my sister is our flower girl and she’ll be 7 🙂

I was my sisters flower girl when i was 10 (it was a few weeks after my bday)

My ring bearer will be 9 and my flower girl will be 7.

Being a 50-something bride, I do not have a pool of relative/friends’ children to pick from.  But this whole wedding is “outside the box” so my flower girl and ring bearer are, too.  My flower girl is 18, and my ringbearer is 16months.  He was my ringbearer before he was born!

I think if they are happy being flower girl/ring bearer, they are the perfect age!

I don’t think it’s too old.  My flower girl will be 3.5, but I think the ages vary a lot.

Those ages sound perfect! They’re definitely old enough to follow directions! Lol! My daughter (5yrs) is the ring girl and my niece will be the flower girl. She’s 3.
