I’m trying to figure out what to get my Ring Bearer and Flower Girl. The Ring Bearer is 2.5 and the Flower Girl is going to be 1 month shy of 2 at the wedding.
So far I’ve gotten the Flower Girl the book Emily is a Flower Girl (and her name is Emily…how perfect is that?!!?) and i’ll likely get her little earrings and a necklace from Claires (her parent’s aren’t the type to look after things, so although I wanted to get her realy keepsake jewelry, it would be a total waste of money, and likely be lost before she ever realized that she owned it)
I’m thinking i’m going to just get them back packs with ‘stuff’ in them. Any thoughts on what to put in them? Any suggestions of quiet toys, non-staining food, etc to keep them occupied at the church?

We got our ring bearers and flower girl backpacks filled with coloring books, crayons, a big bouncy ball, playdoh, little trucks (for the boys), a giant lolipop, puzzles themed to their interests, etc. We got most of the stuff at Target and Walgreens. We also got the boys piggy-banks (one was a football, the other a train) with their name engraved on them and the flowergirl a necklace with her initial and a jewelery box with her name engraved on it.

My daughters are my flower girls, so I’m getting the a “unity” necklace. (they are mine from a previous relationship)
As for the Ring bearer, he is one of my best friends’ son. I am going to get him a savings bond, in a keepsake piggy bank (from Things Remembered) I’m also doing a little bag full of sports items, balls, baseball mitt etc.

@Mrs.KMM: Where’d you get the backpacks?
@Beesgf: My Flower Girl And Ring Bearer are both now three. I got the Ring Bearer his orange Chuck Taylor’s for the wedding, his orange bowtie. I got the Flower Girl an orange flower headband, a pearl necklace, and some cute socks. I am still looking for a Bride and Groom Teddy Bear for both of them. I will put her necklace on hers and his bowtie on his.
There will be a basket, filled with crayons and coloring books, at the reception. They will use these too, of course

@PrncssDva: The one’s I posted have now been discontinued (they actually discontinued the ring bearer one before I got it so only the flower girl one looked like that). But I found another set that is really cute here: http://www.advantagebridal.com/flgibaribeba.html This is the ring bearer backpack I ultimately ended up getting.

We did backpacks with their names embroidered on them and filled them with goodies, including coloring books and crayons, goldfish crackers, juice boxes, fruit snacks, a yo-yo, sunglasses, and other small toys (from the dollar bin at Target). We had 4 little ringbearers ages 1.5 – 4. They all LOVED their backpacks and still use them to this day. They were really good quality – I got them from Lands End for $15 total with embroidery – they were in their overstock section.
