Hi bees! Our 2 yr old son is going to be our ring bearer. Ive been looking for alternative ring bearer pillows since we are having a DW, if i picked one with flowers i dont want them to get smashed on the flight. anything we used wont have the actual rings on it. so my question is would it be acceptable for him to walk down the isle MOH with no pillow. Hes still young he might not walk alone…unless a groomsman dangled his bear up there haha
also any alternative, small ideas to the pillow would be great!

We didn’t have a ring bearer or a flower girl. Instead, my two youngest kids (8 & 5) were jr bridesmaid and groomsman. And since this is my second marriage I didn’t have my dad “give me away” (he already did that once), my son walked me up to his new step dad 🙂 I say make our little guy a jr. jr. groomsman and have him walk down the aisle with one of your bridesmaids 🙂

@MiSsyK: I think it’s fine for him to walk with MOH with no pillow. He’s young, so everyone will understand.

@MiSsyK: You could always get someone to pull him along in a cart?? (Groomsman maybe??)

Our nephew was only 18 months old at the time of our wedding so we didn’t see him being able to carry a pillow. Instead he carried a pennant that said “here comes the bride”. His mom had to walk with him down the aisle(she carried him for the walk all the way up to the aisle), still was adorable.

Thanks for the ideas ladies! I think we will have him as a Jr. Groomsman (im a little annoyed mens wearhouse doesnt have a matching tux…the online chat person said they had them in his size but the guy today said no *sigh* i want him to match!) and have him walk with my MOH/his aunt. thanks again!

Absolutely! My mum and I were bridesmaids for my aunty’s wedding and each of us walked down the aisle with one of their sons (they would have been about 2-3 at the time) it was gorgeous! the entire bridal party was family and it was just lovely!

I think its cute to see little kids escorted down the aisle. Dd was 3 at my sisters wedding. My brother walked her down the aisle, it was sooo sweet!!

What about gluing fake rings into a seashell?
