Im going to be the first wedding in both of our families that can have a ring bearer. And TBH I have no idea what to do!
He’s going to be 3 at the time of the wedding and kinda worried about getting a 3 year old to hold on to like a $1000 worth of rings…
So would it be strange for him to walk in first carrying this?

At 3, I don’t know that he would actually carry a sign. Our Ring Bearer is just carrying a pillow with fake rings. Our Maid/Matron of Honor and Bridesmaid or Best Man will have the actual rings. It’s not uncommon for the Ring Bearer to not have the actual rings.

Our Ring Bearer is carrying a pillow with fake rings. We will probably have the Bridesmaid or Best Man hold the rings.

My rB will be 4 but I’m having him hold a similar sign 🙂 I think it’s cute!

I have never seen anyone actually give their ring bearer the rings. The best man or groom has them and the children have props.
Don’t over think the participation of a three year old. You probably asked for him to be in the wedding because he’s cute. Send him down the aisle and let him be cute. 🙂

Yeah I’m having to think about it sadly my Future Sister-In-Law is Ning a pain about it. One minutehashes amazed I wanted him to hold something at all and the next has just HAS to GRR
Thanks for you inputs though!!’ I think I’ll just make a sign & see how he goes if he doesn’t hold it he doesn’t hold it. Although I think he will as he’s pretty switched on… He seems to know most things going on aready at 2.
