Ok, we ordered my ring this weekend and it is being delivered TODAY :):):)
My dilema….. FH still wants to give it to me in a special way so at first he said I had to give him the package and not open it (UGH) then yesterday (without me asking) he said ok ok open it BUT dont put it on (thinks its bad luck)….
So, now I’m wondering (even though Im DYING to see it in person) would it be more special if I just didnt open it and gave it to him to suprise me later OR should I take a sneak peak and hand it over?????
WHAT WOULD YOU DO??

As difficult as it may be…Don’t open it. Let it be a surprise.

Ummm… don’t open it. You’ll appreciate the surprise factor even though you already know what it looks like. ENJOY THE MOMENT! 🙂

Just to go against the grain here, I say open it. Try it on (just to be sure its fits properly) and inspect the hell out of it.
Depending upon where you ordered from, you may have one of those 30-day unconditional return policies. Then after you can give the ring the green light, put it in the box and let him hide it for the proper proposal.
You already know what it looks like anyway, right?

LOOK LOOK LOOK…I would ; )

@leyla-bee: I would wait. Don’t open it

I do know what it looks like BUT so very curious to see it in person lol

Don’t open it, that moment where you first see it can never be recreated.

It will take a lot of willpower to not open the box. Maybe wait for your FH to come home and open the box together? I agree with a PP that the ring should be inspected as soon as possible to make sure you’re within your return/warranty timeline. Then your partner can whisk the ring away for whatever special proposal he has planned 🙂

Don’t open it. You’ll regret it.
However, do talk your BF into proposing before the return period is up so that if it isn’t perfect, you can return it.

Thanks for all the replies!!!
I deicded not to open it UNLESS FH comes home and wants to look at it for inspection….. just going to leave it up to him and suppress my inner 5 year old that REALLY wants to tear that package open!!! lol

I opened mine, I wanted to make sure it was as perfect as I knew it would be! No regrets 🙂
