At first I wanted a vintage ring, or vintage inspired, now i am in love with round stone with a halo! I don’t know which to pick. (obviously by pick, i mean tell my bf i love it, and hope he loves it for me too!)
These are some I love!
I don’t love how high the setting is though… (pictured is a 3/4 ct stone.. id want something much smaller!)
This is the same ring on my long skinny fingers: (pictured is a 3/4 ct stone.. id want something much smaller!)
I loved the antique look too! But i fel in love with the halo. Sometimes i can’t choose!
I tried on an emerald cut with halo at Littman Jewelers and everyone LOVED it, but i wasnt convinced. It was so old hollywood glam. Sparkly and gorgeous, but I had loyalty to round stone by then!
Here are photos of the rings on my fingers. (i’d only use one band)
I LOVE this ring.. i dont know which bee has it… i saw it in a forum for skinny bands. I love the look of skinny bands…. I have long skinny fingers (piano fingers my mom says). im a size 4.5, and a large in gloves.
Honest opinions? a few of the jewelers said they can add the beading on the edges that makes rings look antique.. but for a hefty fee i’ll bet… sigh… i’m stuck. All i know is that i want to be able to wear a straight wedding band with it!

The emerald halo is amazing!

I think the last ring looks stunning…have you considered a solitaire and a wrap??? I was debating wether or not to have my stone put into a different setting or to just get the wraps that you wear with it…I would love the option of being able to change the look of my ring to suit my mood!

at least you’ve narrowed down a style-halo. Now as round vs emerald, thats all about your personal preference. A round will sparkle more due to the way its cut and has more facets but an emerld stone has always been regarded as an ethereal look with its “hall of mirrors” facets.
for a band to sit flush to it, you’ll need to make sure that the center mount is high enough,

I like the emerald with the halo…but I”m biased, because it looks A LOT like mine! 🙂

I have the round halo with a skinny band! I LOVE it! It has an amazing vintage feel to it and it’s not too huge for everyday wear. Go with what you love;)

All of your choices are beautiful! I have a round halo with a plain skinny band. It came from Brilliant Earth and they have a good website to play around and build your ring. I like my halo b/c the matching wedding band (sparkly half way around – sorry I don’t know the real terms) sits flush – the setting for the center stone on my e-ring is high enough that the band goes right under and really sets it off.
It’s funny, I hemmed and hawed over what I wanted – I gave my Fiance the direction of a round halo – thought I would want a sparkly band, thought I might want a bigger stone – somehow what he gave me just feels perfect.
Enjoy and have fun!

I’m not a big fan of halos, but I am digging the emerald halo. Go with what feels right to you though, you have to wear it. If you love the round, get round!

I love the round halo and the emerald halo on you. Our hands sound very similar, I’m 4.25 and really long fingers too. I found that such a thin band like the one in the last one wasnt as proportional for long fingers and made my fingers look even more freakishly long.

i love the first one but have you checked out estate jewelry? Some of it makes me swoon!

Oooh, decisions, decisions! I do think the emerald halo is a bit more unique. But the round sparkles more. But I think both rings are beautiful but you should go with whatever your heart tells you! I love halos!
I recently picked out my style of ring as well. I wanted a cushion cut halo with a plain band and it was suprisingly hard to find. We ended up finding a wonderful local jeweler who can custom make whatever you want from scratch in his shop. I was afraid this would be expensive but the price was comparable or even better than other jewelery stores. He is also custom-making my wedding band as well so it sits flush with my e-ring. I would definitely encourage you (or your future fiance) to check out someone like this, if you haven’t already! You can get exactly what you want–skinny band, beading around the edges, whatever!
Mine is being made right now and my Boyfriend or Best Friend is having a great time being involved in the final design (and trying to keep the exact details hidden from me)!
