My engagement ring is CZ and cost $55.00. It is NOT about the price, but how you want your ring to look. I could NOT be happier if I had real diamonds. I absolutely love my CZ and always will. I love the fact that it can be easily (and cheaply) replaced. That being said, I’ve never been a person to get something based on a brand/designer name. Your engagement ring is your engagement ring. It could be plastic if you wanted it to be. If I were in your situation, I’d stick with the lab created sapphires and CZ and rock it.

For me, I don’t see enough of a difference to justify the cost difference.  I’d pick the moissaniteco one.

I would say that the rings look pretty comparable, and while I have never seen moissanite in person, I know from a lot of people on here that it is very durable and gorgeous. I say it is 100% worth it to go with the moissaniteco ring. You’ll be getting a great ring at a much better price, and one that you may not even have to/want to upgrade in the future.

They will be approximately the same. I’ve had custom work done by David Klass, and while he is great for competitive prices on custom stuff, this design is very straightforward. I don’t think it’s worth the markup just to have him make it when you can get something so similar with better quality stones through MoCo. I also have jewelry from them and am pleased by the quality. I say get your ring from them! (Btw, I have one of their lab sapphires, and it is to die for–a rich, deep Kashmir blue).

I’d go with the moissy co one, too.

Also, if I was going to invest in the custom work from DK, which from almost all accounts is well worth it, I’d wait until I was commissioning THE ring with the forever stones desired, as opposed to a “part one, wear, ship back, part two” approach.

Just my $0.02.

The ring’s lovely, btw!

I have rings from David Klass and Moissanite co. I have to agree with PP’s in that this design is straightforward and the stones will be better quality with Moissaniteco, and cheaper to boot! I would order this ring from Moissaniteco.

I have a three stone with a diamond center and sapphire sides made by DK in a bezel engraved setting. I love it and get lots of compliments.

Congrats and and good luck. It’s a beautiful design.

FutureMrsJanes:  moissanite is a beautiful stone and is going to wear better over time than a CZ. I completely agree with PP and say go with Mco! there are days I choose to wear my moissanite over my Diamond just because its so beautiful!

Whatever you choose to do, post pictures when you get it!!

My ring is being made by DK but it’s totally custom and we couldn’t find anything like it. We probably went through 5 or 6 CADs (their CADs are a little iffy to be honest, we did a lot of babysitting). For your ring, I would definitely get the moissaniteco version. It’s not a unique design so why pay for it to be made from scratch? Don’t reinvent the wheel.

For fine pave, DK does a great job and it’s probably higher quality than most mass designs but your design is plain and sturdy so I wouldn’t hesitate to get it with moissanite.
