Hi Bees. My ceremony is located in a floating pavilion at the end of a pier. Our minister says its too risky to actually exchange rings, one false move they’ll be swimming with the fishes
.
She suggested that we either fake the exchange and wait until after the ceremony, or we wear them to the ceremony because no one will notice anyway.
What would you do?

I would probably do a fake exchange because It is not about the guests seeing the ring exchange its the actually exchange that matters with me – I think I would be pretty disappointed that I wouldn’t get to do it with my real rings!
How do you feel about it?

I would use fake rings! The whole exchanging of the rings thing is cute & fumbly! Its one of my favorite moments of the ceremony… I think wearing your bands already would take away from that special moment.
lol or you could use your real rings & use one of those floaty things you attach to your keys when you go boating. It would make for interesting photos 😛

I would use a stand in ring. It might be fun to have those anyway to wear for other events in your marriage too, like swimming, exercising, or any activity that you might be worried about losing it.
