My hubby isn’t a jewelry guy either. We decided on a less fancy metal to start with (he liked the idea and color of titanium) and looked on the internet. We found that online stores had way better selection than brick and mortar stores for men’s rings and we found his ring within the first fifteen minutes of looking.

The ring he decided on is a really simple 6mm band with a brushed satin finish, and the color of the titanium is kind of a medium grey, so it’s as unblingy and unfancy as it gets.

One caveat – buying online means sizing can be tricky (and in our case, titanium can’t be resized) so get his finger measured and make sure you can return or exchange the ring in case it doesn’t fit.

Hope this helps!

What’s wrong with the traditional, simple band? Not his style?

It doesn’t have to be fancy, I believe that is a somewhat new trend. My Fiance IS a jewelry guy and a car fanatic and is getting a really cool titanium and carbon fiber ring.

Maybe something to represent who he is would make the jewelry concept more amenable to him.

Mine isn’t exactly into jewelry and wanted something masculine. He just wanted a plain beveled edge tungsten but he really likes this one which I am surprising him with on our wedding day…he though I bought him a plain one. :))

Wait are we talking wedding band, or “man-gagement” ring? You mentioned you’re picking out plural engagement rings, so that’s why I wonder. Well, either way, I think there are tons of awesome masculine looking rings out there! Would he like a hammered look like this?

My husband is the same way. I got him a titanium ring but since we’ve been married its gotten scratched and faded and just doesnt look as good. So i looked around and found a basic yet nice ring that was a steal on amazon! the original price for a tungsten ring is 100+ but I snagged his for 14.95 on amazon saving me bunches!!

My husband was the same way.  You can definitely find something plain and simple and just 14k white gold.
