sumshine.dawn: I think I’ve seen your ring around the bee before and I LOVE IT! The color is so beautiful and hearing the meaning behind it for you makes it that much more stunning. I can’t believe that woman’s remark. Completely tasteless, rude, and downright obnixious. You must have a world of patience/understanding because if someone said that to my face about my gemstone ering I would give them a LARGE piece of my mind regarding their lack of manners.

You have a beautiful ring! Some people can be so nasty! I think those negative comments are just a  reflection of what they see in themselves.

You love your ring and that is what matters.

sumshine.dawn:  Aha! Now her bizarre “pretending” comment makes sense, she was cross because she’s made a tit of herself banging on about your “blue diamond” making you a gold-digger. So now you have to be a wannabe, totally ignoring the more obvious conclusion that she’s a poisonous witch.

What a cow, I presume everybody’s noticed that already.

Love your ring by the way!

sumshine.dawn:  The problem is not your gorgeous topaz. The problem is your coworker is an ass. Honestly, what does she know about gemstones or what’s indicative of wealth? A blue topaz doesn’t even look like a blue diamond. You can buy blue diamonds at Kmart(I know because I was just looking at some).  Really, you need to just respond like this(sorry if the language offends, but it really is appropriate):

What a ridiculous comment to make about pretending. How horrid. So sorry, OP! Your ring is gorgeous.

Agreed. If you love your ring, that is all that matters. Jealousy makes people show their ugly side. Don’t let her disdain poison your viewpoint over a ring she will never wear.

sumshine.dawn:  your ring is lovely. And the woman is rude and clueless. I have some extremely wealthy friends and you would never ever know it by looking at them – they are not like the tacky women on Real Housewives, they drive older cars, they do not dress in a flashy way, and they do not throw their money around.

I agree, something’s off with her remark.  Why would she assume it’s a diamond, you tell her the truth, and then she assumes you’re using your topaz as a diamond simulant?

Something doesn’t add up.

Your ring is gorgeous!

She is a b*tch! A nasty, unhappy, covetous b*tch. Be happy you are not her!

Meh, ignore her. She just made herself look like a classless, petty, and uninformed fool. I would not waste another iota of time thinking about her or her comment!

Screw that b*tch! Your stone is gorgeous! I love the color. She sounds immature and ill-bred.

sumshine.dawn:  So here’s the thing: If she actually knew what a real, authentic blue diamond looked like, she wouldn’t have asked you that question. So just on that alone she can have a stadium full of seats. You didn’t get crap for having a non-diamond engagement ring, you just work with jackass. Next time she opens her mouth to say anything to you, tell her to kick rocks.

Stop it! I am off beat as hell too-don’t let some nasty beyyyotch ruin your ring glow. I don’t even think there is such a thing as a blue diamond so she sounds super dumb. Why would you be pretending to be wealthy with no diamond anyway? Makes no sense. Wear what you like and efff tradition and those who don’t like it. Being outside of the box just blows basics mind doesn’t it? haha

antiweddingbride:  Yes, there is such a thing as a blue diamond. Natural untreated ones are very, very rare, and are very, very, very expensive,  even at  very small sizes, especially if they have vivid colour.
