What a cool band! I’d never heard of those before.
Our inscription came from one of the Bible verses being incorporated into our ceremony. Do you guys have anything special like that (doesn’t have to be religious)? A favorite song (you first dance song)? A nickname? A special memory?

My parents’ rings have their intials (e.g., “ABC to XYZ” and “XYZ to ABC”) followed by their wedding date. I kind of like that it’s a record of my mom’s maiden name and a simple reinforcement of the rings as a pledge. Fiance and I thought about “I love you” and “I know” (Star Wars reference for him) but decided against it 😛

Thanks ladies I love the Intial idea beacuse i love my last name lol. I also like the something special we always joked about me putting “till zombies attack” I was kidding but Fiance loves the idea.

I have a friend whose ring says “PROPERTY OF (his wife’s name)”. It’s funny, and one time he lost his ring at a friend’s house, and it was promptly returned!

I actually love the zombie attack idea! My FI’s says “my tree, your flower”. I wrote a really cheesy poem about him being my big strong tree and I’m just one tiny flower. For our one year dating anniversary he bought me a tattoo that represents it, so I got it engraved in his ring. He lovingly calls me ‘ma fleur’ occasionally and it’s been a fun, cute thing for us. The last line of the poem is also something I’ve said to him from the beginning since I’m always so surprised at just how perfect he is for me, even though he’s not perfect.
Here’s the poem. No stealing! 😛
i am just one tiny flower and you’re just one big, strong tree
but this tiny, fragile flower was meant solely to flourish beside your wise old trunk
and beneath your big, strong branches
so beneath and beside you i sit in awe and adoration
i couldn’t have made you better myself
And my tattoo.

In our vows, we said, “A man shall leave his father and mother and shall cleave to his wife…” blah blah blah and my husband just LOVED that part!! I don’t know why, his parents were already deceased but he just loved the idea of cleaving to me so his band said…
10/31/98 We be cleavin’
No room for an inscription in mine though 🙁
