We do but nothing fancy just our names and the date. I wanted to put a message in too but there wasn’t enough space and we both wanted the date and at least our initials.

longtimemrs:  My husband’s wedding band says “I am my beloved’s and beloved in mine” in Hebrew. It’s on the outside though. I also love inscriptions….they make it so personal and romantic. I know there is a bee who has a ring with a keyhole in the detail on the side. Her husband has a key on the inside of his band. I thought that was pretty neat.

I don’t have any engravings yet, but my Fiance and I have already talked about just having little Mickey heads engraved inside our bands. We got engaged on our Disney vacation and I wanted something to commemorate that, but Fiance thinks that Disney themed rings are too blatant and hokey. So that was our compromise.

longtimemrs:  We both have the word “bacon” engraved on the inside of our bands. We love the story about the chicken and the pig. We both decided to give our all in this marriage. We choose to be bacon… Not eggs. 🙂 cheesy, yes.

I really wanted my band to say “I carry your heart…” And his to say “…in my heart” based on a poem I adore. But he’s not the poetic type and “bacon” really resonated with him.

I will be engraving something in FIs as a surprise to him. My band is only 1.5mm and too thin to engrave 🙁

Just ‘I love you’ with our wedding date, but in Polish. Nothing original but I’m fluent and it was the first thing he made an effort to learn and still says it in Polish mid English convo.

I love reading these!

I’m far from engaged but I really like the idea of using quotes or lyrics.

My favourite poem has the line

” i love you the same way that I learned how to ride a bike; scared but reckless with no training wheels or elbow pads so my scars can tell the story of how I fell for you.”

as a lover of puns and giant klutz I always thought ” scared but reckless” could be a sweet Inscription: a reminder to love with abandon and to never take that for granted.

My parents have “love always.” Because my dad has signed every love note, birthday or anniversary card Since they started dating with love always. I love that too!

I had my husband’s wedding band engraved with a quote from my favorite movie, Sixteen Candles. It’s inscribed, “Married? Yeah, Married!”

I chose it because I love that movie and he loves when I become a complete dork when I watch it. When he read the inscription for the first time I thought he’d never stop laughing!

ours is kinda silly, My Fiance got me to watch a few episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation   And I got HOOKED.   Since my solitaire is my “engage”ment ring our wedding bands have “Make It So” engraved on the inside.

Caption Picards tag lines were “engage” and “make it so”.

He thought I was such a dork foragreeing to it originally he ment it as a joke.  But it’s very us.

I definitely want to get his band engraved. I’m not sure if my wedding band is thick enough or not, if it is, I want mine engraved too.

I would love to get “a lot, a lot, a lot” in mine. When I’d ask how much he loved me, that’s what he always said, so it always makes me smile.

He said he atleast wants the wedding date in it, but I think words are much cooler. lol

longtimemrs:  I’m thinking of putting, “A lot, a lot” inside FI’s ring and on our cake topper.  It’s this stupid thing we say all the time:

Me: “Do you love me?”

Fiance: “Yes…”

Me: “How much??”

Fiance: “A lot, a lot…”

Me: “Wow, that’s a lot!”
