Congrats on your wedding next month.  Hopefully your ring will be back in a few days.  A week is oddly long.

Wow. That doesn’t sound right. It takes less than an hour for them to do that.

Wow that is a long time to be gone!  Usually I take mine to the jeweler to be dipped and pick it up the next day.

If its from a chain, it can take that long.

@jpalm13:  Yep. I have an old promise ring from Zales and I’ve had it replated a few times. They send the ring off to be replated elsewhere. 1-2 weeks sounds about right for a chain.

@X0JLYNN03:  I sooooooo feel you right now. Just dropped my baby girl off today as well…. Getting upgrade to 2ct diamond …. Redipped and building a matching band to gO with the first one.  Feel naked….lost and miserable .. Hands felt odd driving home… On the plus side I will be in love all over again by months end

@X0JLYNN03:  I would probably have a stand-in! I would feel naked as well!

@diamondsforevershine:  upgrade to 2 carat. NICE!!!

I have a stand in for times like this. Don’t know what I’d do without it.

I had a sweet 16 ring from Gordon’s. I paid an extra $10 to have it back in 2 days. I was miserably naked without it, but it would have taken a week or two if I hadn’t paid rush services.

@X0JLYNN03:  It is now March 1 and I have been without my ring since February 6. It has been sent off to get the wedding ring matched to it. I definitely feel naked but so far no one has said anything.  I think you notice it more than other people.

I feel you! My e-ring is currently away to have a custom-band made for it.

I have a stand-in set as well, to feel something on my finger. Plus, I love jewelery so much it’s an excuse to change it up for 2 weeks. My stand in is a very different style so it’s fun. I always love love love wearing my wedding set again though 😉

Also, when it’s best not to wear a large ring, I have an eternity diamond band to wear alone because my wedding band is contour and soldered to my e-ring.

Anyway, the more options, the less you miss your beautiful e-ring! 😉
