I am going to wear mine “backward” with my engagement ring first, then my wedding band, then my promise ring (given to me when we moved across the country together, before we could afford an e-ring/wedding). The reason I am chosing to do it this way is because that’s how my mom wears hers, and it just looks right to me because of that.
For my wedding, I plan on wearing my e-ring on my left hand, exactly where my Fiance put it when he proposed, and my promise ring on my right. Once he places on wedding band on, he’ll put my promise ring on the outside of it.

I guess I never really thought about it, but now you mention it… Once, I would have assumed I just wear wedding ring first, ering second, but now I’ve gone and chosen a wedding band that will look much better worn on top of my ering!

Wedding band should always be worn closest to your heart!!

Wedding band then e-ring most of the time, sometimes I flip it but mostly this happens accidentally.

I wear my e ring on my right hand. I couldn’t find a wedding band I liked that fit with my e ring AND any band I found just took away from my e ring – I preferred it on its own but also really wanted a wedding band. The end result – I get to wear gorgeous rings on bothnut hands!

I am going to be wearing my engagement ring first and then my wedding band. I am doing this because there is a lot of detail on the side of my ering and I want to be able to see it. I have also lost weight and my ering is a bit big on me now so my wedder will be able to hold it in place so I feel more secure about it.

Everyone I know wears their wedding ring first (I didn’t know the reason for this until reading this post) but I believe u get engaged first then married so they should be in that order. When I was looking for my wedding ring I tried them on both ways & decided it looks better to wear my engagement ring first so that’s how I’ll be wearing it when I’m married! 🙂

My mother and Future Mother-In-Law made SURE I knew the “right” way at the wedding (honestly, I found this funny..the one thing they AGREE on!!!). It goes band, then ring–but honestly, if you want ring, then band. WEAR IT!!

My Mom wears her engagement ring first and then her wedding band (because her engagement ring is too big and she never got it resized…it’s over 30 years now!). I always thought this is how it was growing up until recently, actually! She also didn’t know there were “rules” about it.
I keep thinking I want to do it this way, but then I don’t. Ha, I’m no help!

Mine are soldered together, so I have one wedding band, e-ring, another wedding band. I just can’t wear them yet because I thought it would take longer to get them done, so now I have to wait for the wedding haha!

My rings aren’t soldered together. I won’t do it! My band is first then my e-ring. I take my e-ring off when I go to sleep or if I’m doing housework (I only wear it when I go out). I couldn’t even put my e-ring on my right hand for my wedding day. I ended up flipping them around for pictures. I wear mine band first and then e-ring.

I just have one ring. The one ring…to rule them all!
Mine has a row of diamonds on the top and bottom of the main stone and side stones, so if I added a band it would be overwhelming lol. So my ring counts as everything.

I’ve always seen wedding band first then engagement ring

I know of a wives tale that says if you wear them backwards (ering first then band) it signifies you are a widow. If I accidentally put them on that way, it freaks me out a little and even though I don’t consider myself superstitious, I think it may bring back luck!
