    Hi and welcome to the hive!  I totally feel your pain, its so hard to pick out a ring, let alone an ering … For life!  Ultimately the decisions will be yours of course. Have younphysically tried any of these rings on? Or anything similar? For starters, i personally chose peach emerald. Of course thats what i would prefer! Lol. I have an emerald cut ering and love it. I love the square angles, totally cool, but timeless as well. As for the peach colour, i chose it because i thought it was different And something you might not get bored of. White sapphire might be too traditional for you and pink you might outgrow. The yellow might be ok too. i look forward to seeing what you end up choosing. I think trying them on in person will really help you decide. I remember seeing tons of beautiful rings online only to be disapointed when i actually tried them on. Good luck!

    @pink-hippo:  Welcome to the hive!

    I would probably go for white or peach as I find those to be the most classic. I really like your bezel settings. I would personally prefer an emerald cut stone. They’re pretty rare, especially in a east-west setting.

    I went with purple because I love purple.

    What is your favorite color?

    I used to really love emerald cuts but as I got older I out grew them except in certain situations. I really like the corners and how they show east west here, but I feel that the brilliance of the oval will really shine in this simple setting. I’d go oval since there are no side stones.

    @pink-hippo:  congrats and welcome to the hive.  i would suggest a white oval.  (i have an oval diamond and i love it).  white goes with everything.   i really like the idea of having it set east-west.  very nice.

    i do love colours and other shapes too so i save that for all of my right hand rings.  i can switch them up depending on what i am wearing and what i am in the mood for.

    Beautiful, but I dont think I could decide without trying them one. I was surprised when I was looking that the rings I loved online, didnt look good on me. Contact the seller and see if they have a store near you or what their return policy is.

    As for the color, i would stick with white. With this style, as large as you want it, I think a colored stone would look like a cocktail ring, not an egagement ring.

    Yellow is in right now, pink is romantic, peach is unusual πŸ™‚ I would go with Peach, it is more unique πŸ™‚ I am bias towards an oval because I like the cuts of stones in that shape. Although Laurie Sarah’s stone that pink-hippo posted is gorgeous too πŸ™‚

    We called a bunch of stores for an appointment to view their loose sapphires. Most stores didn’t have much variety but a couple got extra stones in just for us.  I didn’t specify the cut until I knew which colour I loved. You’ll know once you see YOUR stone πŸ™‚

    @pink-hippo:  wow! After seeing the coloured gemstones you posted i can see why its hard to chose. Im still loving the peach though. Unfortunately, im no help with advice on which stores to visit and try samples on. Im in Toronto and i had a hard time finding a regular emerald cut diamond!!  I did eventually find mine. I think mist stores online allow you to return it within a ceratin time frame. Just in case you dont like it in person.
