(Closed) ring picture, what flash setting/lighting is best?

Don’t use a flash and I believe it’s the “macro” setting.

I have a sony cybershot too. Truthfully, it does not take it too well (I think it has difficulty focusing on the diamond, because of the different length of light reflection). Best bet is taking it in good light, with the Magnifying Glass on. It’s the same button at the “Macro” button – looks like a flower. You can try both settings, but Macro usually takes it with flash, which can be too much light. With the Magnifying Glass, you do have to have a steady hand, as it keeps open the shutter longer.
