My bf and I have started the process of looking at rings and I’ve found a style I love. The problem is that 1) all the ones we’ve looked at are 10k+ and 2) I’m noticing that there are so many variations of the style that some of them look completely different than others (and some I really don’t like).
With that, we’ve decided to go the custom route. Now I need help pinning down all the various specs of the setting… hoping some girls here can help me out!
Basically I’m looking for a round brilliant center stone (prefer around .75-.85 for my size 5 finger), with 1 tapered baguette on each side. Here are some pics of the look I’m after:
I’d really like to see similar rings out there, preferably with center stones around 1 ct or less. Please list the specs of the setting if you can (weight of the baguettes, width of the band) – and if you can post pics from the side that would help a lot too!
Thanks in advance!

Congrats and good luck on the search!
I originally had a one carat round with 1/2 carat baguettes on the side but we just celebrated our 10 yr anniversary and upgraded. I now I have a 1 carat round with 1/2 carat baguettes with pave on each side of the shank and a pave half eternity band for a total of a little over 2.23 carats.
My ring size is a size 5 as well. My set came from Tacori. You can find a set similar on ebay for half the cost as a jewelry store if you research. Also look into mossy rings – http://www.moissanite.com/ to see if you can find one in your price range. Good luck!

Here’s a side shot. Sorry just saw you had requested it too.

@mrs.t_finally: thanks for the pics! I’m trying to get a better handle on all the different proportions so that definitely helps! A nice diamond under 1ct is still within budget and I think we will be able to get a great deal with a local designer! Plus I like the idea of supporting a local business!

Here’s mine…just got engaged yesterday!! It’s 1 carat with tapered baguettes:
I have no idea of the specs of my band other than it’s white gold and the baguettes are .3 carats. Not sure what the mm size is. My ring size is 6.5.
